With Love on Mothering Sunday

On this special day, we remember the mothers and exceptional women who are no longer with us, but who have had a positive influence in our lives.
Whilst we will always miss them, they are still very much present in our daily lives.
We give thanks for them and for the love they showed us and the world.

My mother was a trained nurse, midwife and health visitor working right at the start of the NHS. After marrying in 1948 she spent her life caring for others both within our family and our community. Without fail she collected door to door for Christian Aid Week until in her 90’s. She passionately believed in peace through international development and cared deeply for the suffering of others. She was full of love.
