With Love on Mothering Sunday

On this special day, we remember the mothers and exceptional women who are no longer with us, but who have had a positive influence in our lives.
Whilst we will always miss them, they are still very much present in our daily lives.
We give thanks for them and for the love they showed us and the world.

My mother Honor was a Christian Aid collector for many years, braving rejections, barking dogs and snapping letterboxes as she walked from house to house in her Surrey village in all weathers, collecting donations for Christian Aid. My donation today is in tribute to her faithful service.
